Brooke Redus is our Director of Nursing at Derby Health and Rehabilitation. She came to DHR in 2014 as a certified medication aide, then obtained her LPN in 2016, and continued her pursuit of knowledge, becoming a registered nurse in 2019. Over the past almost 11 years at DHR, Brooke has served in various nursing roles including charge nurse, RAI Director and interim DON.Beyond her professional accomplishments, Brooke is a mother to her 11-year-old daughter Madison. Outside of work she likes to engage in activities with her daughter and serving as a cheer coach for RHJSS. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves the outdoors.
She fully embraces the guiding virtues and her goal is to provide exceptional care to all our residents.

Stephanie has 17 years in healthcare experience in various rolls. As the business office manager at Derby Health and Rehab, she helps answer questions regarding Medicare and Medicaid; as well as a variety of HR tasks.Outside of working at DHR; Stephanie is a Kansas City Chiefs fanatic and attends boxing training with her 16 year old son. Stephanie also enjoys traveling and crafting in her spare time.

Veena is the Executive Director of Derby Health and Rehab and is a mother of two – Taylor, a freshman at Derby High School, and Korbin, a first grader at El Paso Elementary. She also has two adorable Mini Goldendoodles named Willow and Remy.Veena is a long time Derby resident! Her mothers whole family graduated from Derby High School. Veena is proud to be a Derby Panther, so when an opening as the Business Office Manager at DHR in 2019 opened, she jumped on the opportunity.
After working as the BOM and working closely with our previous Executive Director, John Brand, Veena realized she had a higher calling. She completed the AIT Program and obtained her LNHA license in December of 2022.

Debra has been a dietary manager since 1983. She is certified in Dietary Manager in Michigan, Vermont, Illinois, Kansas. Debra currently serves on the State of Kansas Dietary Manager Board as the Tresurer, a post she has held for 4 years now. She has also served as Central District President for 6 years and is currently Central District Treasurer.

Sarah is the skilled Unit Manager for Derby Health and Rehabilitation. She has been a nurse since 2012 and has worked primarily in Long Term Care, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing. She started for Derby Health and Rehab as a float nurse, moving to her role as charge nurse of the Sitti Jiddo House and finally settled in her current role as Unit Manager.Sarah prides herself in providing excellent bedside care as well as leadership amongst her peers. She strives to form meaningful relationships with residents and staff alike. Sarah’s favorite thing about Derby Health and Rehabilitation is witnessing the family like atmosphere and the bonds that staff share with each other and their residents.
Sarah has been married to her husband David since 2015 and has 2 children, Kolsen and Nora. When not working, Sarah values spending as much time with family as possible. She enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.

Jeff is the Environmental Services Director. He has been with DHR for 11 years. He started is career in housekeeping then moved his way up to environmental services assistant. After several years he moved up to Environmental Services Director and he knows DHR in and out better than anyone.Jeff loves making sure that the residents feel included in his work and knows what is going in the building. Jeff is a devoted husband and father of two little girls Ezelyn (3)and Harper (2). He has 3 dogs Sasha , Skye, and his newest Oscar. He is a big jokester and brings nothing but positive energy to the team on a daily basis.

Amanda is the Director of Therapy at Derby Health and Rehabilitation. She attended Wichita State University and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2008. Amanda loves the rehabilitation profession and especially the skilled nursing setting.Amanda has worked at Derby Health and Rehabilitation since 2009. Improving the quality of lives of our residents is a true passion of Amanda and her therapy team at DHR. She leads a team of highly skilled therapists, and provides services including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy.

Candy is a seasoned LPN with 14 yrs of experience at Derby Health and Rehab and over 20 years in the healthcare industry.Candice is currently the LTC unit manager at DHR and goes above and beyond to provide quality care and attention to the people she serves.
Candice is a mother of 3 girls and grandmother of 5. In her free time Candy enjoys spending time with her family.

Jonathan is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 25 years of experience in nursing. Throughout his distinguished career, he has specialized in wound care, infection prevention, and MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, bringing a wealth of expertise to the care of patients in various settings. Jonathan is particularly passionate about antibiotic stewardship and advocating for the rights of residents, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care in both clinical and ethical aspects.Currently, Jonathan is committed to providing exceptional patient care while serving as the RAI Director at Derby Health and Rehab. His extensive background has equipped him with in-depth knowledge of all facets of Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing.
Jonathan is a strong advocate for antibiotic stewardship, emphasizing the responsible use of antibiotics to reduce resistance and improve patient outcomes. Additionally, he is dedicated to empowering patients and their families by advocating for residents' rights, ensuring they receive fair treatment and respect in all aspects of their healthcare.
Outside of his time at Derby Health and Rehab, Jonathan enjoys playing golf and participating in water-related activities, finding both relaxation and enjoyment in nature.

Jade is the Activities Director of Derby Health and Rehab. She has been with DHR for six years. She started as a part-time Activities Assistant in 2018, not long after graduating from Derby High School. She worked as the Activities Assistant for a couple years, became the ILEE Champion, and then moved on as the Activities Director. Jade has an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Butler Community College and is currently attending Wichita State University in pursuit of her Bachelor’s.
Jade’s favorite part of being at DHR is getting to make an impact in each resident’s life. Outside of work, she loves reading, playing pickleball and spending time with her dogs – Coco (Shih Tzu) and Luna (German Shepherd).

Paula has worked at Derby Health and Rehab for over five and a half years. As the administrative assistant she gets the best of both worlds: onboarding our new hires and mingling with our residents. Paula is usually the one that will be answering the phones. She has great attention to detail and really enjoys the spirit days that Derby Health and Rehab has multiple times a year.Outside of work Paula enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and two cats.

Carli is the ILEE Champion of Derby Health and Rehab. She has been part of the DHR team since August 2023. Carli’s main job at DHR is to make sure everyone is happy – residents and staff alike. She meets with each resident upon admission and visits with them throughout their stay to make sure things are going okay. She loves getting to know everyone at DHR and is always available to help her fellow employees.Carli is a big Batman fan! She loves to read the comics and watch the movies. She is dedicated to her family and loves spending time with her younger siblings. Carli loves all animals – especially dogs.
